Back to school. Soccer practice. Endless homework. Uncooperative teenagers (and husbands). There can be a lot of obstacles to overcome when you’re trying to fit family portraits in to your busy schedule, and it’s easy to let them fall to the bottom of your to-do list. I think a lot of times we put them off until the “perfect” time: when we lose 10 lbs, when our schedule slows down, when the weather is cooler, when we find the perfect outfit… But truth be told there is no perfect time. And if we wait too long, we let precious seasons of life slip by without any recollection but a memory that they even existed. Giving our family the gift of our time is more priceless than any material possession, and documenting that time with professional photographs will let them relive those sweet memories after the years have passed.
Here’s a peek into one of my favorite sessions from last year. Born on the 4th of July and celebrating her first birthday, I love the pure joy that radiates from this little fire cracker! Little chubby baby legs learning to walk and toddling in bare feet They even coordinated their wardrobe for a patriotic display to celebrate ;). Turning a baby milestone session into a family session is a great way to step in front of the camera and exist in photographs for your children.
