I create modern dance portraits that capture movement, strength, and skill with beautiful light. I believe in doing things a little differently…
Which is why my approach to dance portraits balances an organized picture day with the creativity and technical skill needed to capture truly standout images.
There are a few things that set me apart from other dance photographers in Fort Wayne, and one of the biggest is my attention to detail (okay… maybe it borders on an obsession). But whether it’s dialing in an efficient recital portrait workflow or planning more creative sessions that highlight advanced movement, every detail is thoughtfully considered so studios feel supported and dancers look their absolute best.
Why studios love us…
One of the biggest things I hear from our studio partners is how simple and stress-free we make the whole process, both for them and their dance families. There’s no cost to the studio and no upfront commitment from parents. Our easy online ordering allows families to view their photos in a private gallery and order only what they love — because no one has time for paper order forms or complicated packages with 15 sheets of wallets cluttering up your life.
We’ll create jaw-dropping images that make your studio stand out, and that your dancers can’t wait to show off
With over a decade of experience in lighting and portrait posing, we know how to bring out the very best in every dancer. By partnering with Heather Bienz Photography, we combine our knowledge and expertise to create a seamless, efficient experience. Running two stations allows us to capture dynamic, professional images in half the time while giving studios and families a beautiful variety of images to choose from.
YOU’RE in the RIGHT PLACE
— You’re in the right place.
01
Our recital portrait sessions combine an organized workflow with a full composite approach to ensure every dancer is perfectly lit and posed. Running a separate headshot station allows us to capture a variety of looks while keeping the day running efficiently.
Most dancers receive three poses at each station, along with sibling portraits, composite team photos, and memory mate options — giving families a complete gallery and studios a polished final product.
02
Our artistic sessions are designed to give dancers more time and creative space in front of the camera. With intentional lighting and guided direction, we capture dynamic movement, advanced technique, and expressive portraits that feel elevated and refined.
These sessions allow us to focus on creating striking, portfolio-worthy images while still maintaining an organized, efficient workflow. The result is a gallery filled with bold, modern portraits that dancers are proud to share and studios love to showcase.
03
We run a dedicated headshot station during both recital and artistic sessions to ensure dancers receive a variety of updated, professional portraits. With our signature lighting and intentional posing, we capture multiple angles and expressions to create a well-rounded gallery families love.
My goal is for picture day to feel organized, creative, and fun. Seeing the dancers light up when they see their photos on the back of my camera is the best part.
Book a quick call and complete a short questionnaire so I can learn more about your studio’s needs. We’ll talk through session details, choose a date, and create a clear, organized schedule for picture day.
We arrive fully prepared with an assistant for check-in and additional posing support as needed to keep things moving smoothly. Our streamlined workflow ensures we stay on schedule while capturing polished, professional images.
Once images are ready, we handle all family communication, private online galleries, and customer service. Parents order directly through their gallery — no paperwork or payment handling required from your team.
You’ll receive complimentary headshots for staff and access to curated images for marketing and promotional use.
