We had a visit from our sweet friends from Illinois a few weeks back. They got married in August last year but we had to miss it for vacation. Of course, as soon as I found out they were coming for a visit Shannon and I started planning a wedding styled shoot! We had so much fun creating a Pinterest vision board and sharing inspiration and ideas. We found some seasonal sunflowers and made our own bouquet adding wildflowers from our fields. Shannon loved slipping back into her fanciest digs for one more special shoot, this time without the stress and nerves that usually accompany the big day! Originally Nate wasn’t going to be in the shoot, but when he came across some thrift store finds that fit the feel and look of our shoot, he couldn’t pass up the chance to stand next to his bride one more time.
The sunset we had this evening was a spectacular backdrop for this styled shoot. I love the natural, organic feel this session had. It perfectly suits the personality of this couple, especially Shannon who is a farmer at Pink Boots Farm and grows organic vegetables for local families in her co-op.
